Contact Lenses
Visioncare Associates provides contact lens examinations and fittings for soft and gas permeable lenses. Each fitting includes an evaluation of lens fit, vision and ocular health to confirm the lenses are appropriate for the patient’s eyes.
Specialty Contact Lenses
Patients with keratoconus or irregular corneas often require a custom lens design. Dr. Shily fits scleral and hybrid lenses for patients whose vision cannot be corrected with standard contact lenses.
Comprehensive Eye Exam
A comprehensive eye exam evaluates visual acuity and overall eye health. Exams at Visioncare Associates include advanced diagnostic imaging, such as Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT retinal imaging and Zeiss Atlas corneal topography.
LASIK Surgery Co-Management
Dr. Shily evaluates patients for LASIK candidacy and provides pre-operative and post-operative care. Visioncare Associates coordinates with refractive surgery centers throughout the Los Angeles area.
Dry Eye Treatment
Dry eye treatment begins with an evaluation to identify the underlying cause of the patient’s symptoms. Dr. Shily then develops a treatment plan based on the diagnosis and the patient’s individual needs.
Cataract Surgery Co-Management
Visioncare Associates provides pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing cataract surgery. Dr. Shily works with cataract surgery centers across the Los Angeles Metropolitan area to coordinate each patient’s care.
Eye Infection
Eye infections require prompt diagnosis and treatment. Patients with redness, pain or discharge should contact our office to schedule an evaluation with Dr. Shily.
Glaucoma
Visioncare Associates screens and monitors patients for glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. Testing includes the Zeiss Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer III and retinal imaging to track changes in eye health over time.
Specialty Contact Lens Fittings in Beverly Hills
Visioncare Associates has been a specialty contact lens practice since 1964. We fit lenses for patients with keratoconus, astigmatism, presbyopia and high prescriptions, along with patients who have had trouble wearing contacts before.
Our lens options include keratoconus fittings, scleral lenses, hybrid lenses and gas permeable lenses. We also offer myopia management for patients whose nearsightedness is getting worse.
Meet Dr. B.G. Shily, O.D.
Dr. Shily is a board-certified optometrist with additional training in specialty contact lenses and refractive surgery consultation. He has worked with medical eye care groups in the Los Angeles area for nearly 35 years and is on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
He earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from UCLA. Dr. Shily is a past President of the Los Angeles County Optometric Society.
